Lluís Uriach Mitats is a seasoned business professional with over 20 years of experience in a variety of roles and sectors. He's worked in recent years as Senior Business Director, focused on digital and business transformation in the B2B2C space in grocery Retail and Dermatology sector. Known for his bias for action and ability to make things happen, Lluís has a track record of success in driving growth and leading teams.
Lluís received his MBA from IESE Business School in 2007, and has also completed short programs at the Singularity University Summit, WOBI events in Milan and Madrid, and several coursed on Digital Transformation from IMD Lausanne. He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and Robotics from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
Throughout his career, Lluís has held a variety of roles that have allowed him to develop a well-rounded skill set and expertise in a range of areas. He has served as a Strategy Director at Barcelona, where he was a member of the executive team and a direct report to the CEO. In this role, he led a team of over 50 people and was responsible for the CEO office, digital transformation PMO, business intelligence, and IT. Lluís was instrumental in implementing a commercial transformation at the company's Spanish affiliate, which helped to boost sales and profitability. He also played a key role in launching and consolidating the company's presence in key international markets, including China, the US, Brazil, Mexico, Germany, and Italy. Later he worked as QCommerce Director at Barcelona, where he was responsible for managing a 90 million euro annual GMV business in over 100 dark stores across 50 cities in 12 countries.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Lluís is passionate about new trends, technology, and social changes impacting businesses. He is also an advocate for sustainability and clean energy, and is dedicated to leaving a better planet for his children. In his free time, Lluís enjoys spending time with his family and participating in a variety of outdoor sports, particularly wing surfing in the summer, skiing in the winter, and running all year round.
